Humanitarian Support for IDPs in Dnipropetrovsk Region

October 2025

Geography: Dnipropetrovsk Region

Goal: To provide food assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs), including vulnerable groups in the Dnipropetrovsk region, who have been affected by the war.

As part of the project, the “Public Resources and Initiatives” Charity Foundation received a humanitarian shipment from the international organization GlobalMedic — 500 food kits with a total weight of nearly 4 tons, aimed at covering the basic needs of people facing difficult life circumstances.

The humanitarian aid was delivered to the volunteer center in Dnipro, led by Metropolitan Serhii Horobtsov, Head of the Synodal Department for Social Ministry of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

The project is aimed at supporting IDPs who have been most affected by the consequences of war — those who have lost their homes, jobs, or the ability to meet their families’ basic needs. The assistance is primarily focused on internally displaced persons who were forced to leave their homes due to hostilities and are now seeking shelter in the Dnipropetrovsk region, particularly:

  • Large families facing economic hardship and requiring additional support to provide food for their children;
  • Elderly people who have been left without family care or have limited access to livelihood means;
  • Persons with disabilities who require constant care and have limited mobility or employment opportunities;
  • Single mothers and women with small children who find themselves in difficult circumstances without adequate social support.

Project donor: International humanitarian organization GlobalMedic, with *logistical support from Johanniter Mission Siret.
