St. Nicholas Day Gifts for Children in Sumy Region: Small Gestures That Create Great Good

Can simple St. Nicholas Day gifts bring a sense of celebration to children in the Sumy region — children who live each day under the threat of shelling and constant danger? We believe they can.

Despite the war, childhood should remain a space of light — with Christmas trees, the scent of winter holidays, and sincere children’s laughter. And although the reality of frontline communities is far from carefree, every act of kindness can give children a feeling of warmth and safety.

As part of the charitable initiative Give Kindness. Children-to-Children 2025, the “Public Resources and Initiatives” Charity Foundation, together with partners, continues to support children living in high-risk areas.

This time, festive gift sets were delivered to children in the Sumy region in partnership with Grow in the Family Foundation and Eleos–Dnipro.

Each gift is more than sweets or a toy. It is a symbol of care, support, and the belief that every child deserves joy, even when the world around them feels uncertain. The Children-to-Children initiative once again united hearts across the country, proving that kindness multiplies when we share it.

We sincerely thank our partners and everyone who contributed to this effort. Together, we can offer children in Sumy not only holiday gifts but also a piece of hope — something incredibly important in these challenging times.
