Veterans Future Forum Held in Chernivtsi: Work. Business. Communities — the First Platform for the Veteran Economy

We did it. And we truly hope it was more than just a forum.

On April 15, Chernivtsi hosted the Veterans Future Forum: Work. Business. Communities — the first platform for the veteran economy in Ukraine.
And today, we don’t just want to talk about the event. We want to talk about the people.

About veterans.
Those who defend the country.
And those who are now shaping its economy.

About businesses that are ready not just to talk — but to change their approaches.
About communities that are searching for real solutions.

It was a day that brought together around 300 people in one space.
All different. Strong. With experiences you won’t find in textbooks.

But most importantly — people who are ready to act.

We are deeply grateful to veterans.
For your strength.
For your honesty.
For your experience — hard-earned, and incredibly valuable.

You are already transforming Ukraine’s economy — through your businesses, your work, your leadership.
And this process is already happening. We see it.

Thank you to everyone who was with us:
— speakers, for your depth and openness
— moderators, for meaningful conversations
— partners, for your trust
— participants, for your engagement and genuine interest

And special thanks to the veteran-owned businesses and services that became part of the Veteran Business Expo.

We saw a new economy — one that is already working in Ukraine.

What matters most after this day?

This is just the beginning.

We focused on:
— employment and adaptation
— entrepreneurship
— the role of veterans in the future economy
— the responsibility of business and government

But most importantly, we affirmed one key idea:
Veterans are not a “challenge for the system.”
They are a resource Ukraine cannot afford to lose.

Our conclusions are simple and honest:
▪️ the veteran economy is already emerging — but it needs strengthening
▪️ businesses need tools, not just motivation
▪️ communities need partnerships and solutions
▪️ veterans need opportunities, access, and trust

We don’t want this forum to remain just a good event.

We want results.
New partnerships. Jobs. Strong veteran businesses. Real, working solutions.

And we know this is possible — because we’ve already seen the strength of this community.

Thank you to everyone who was part of this day.

We move forward. Together.

Building an economy where dignity, experience, and responsibility truly matter.

The Forum was implemented by Public Resources and Initiatives Charity Foundation, co-organized with Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University.

With information support from “Redut” Charity Foundation, the reintegration platform “Zhity Nazustrich”, and the UCU Office for Veterans and Their Families.
